Alexandra Maria Lara was born in Romania. She is an actress from Germany and Romania. Her most well-known movies include Rush, Downfall Youth Without Youth Control. She was the sole child of Romanian actress Valentin Platareu, Alexandra began her showbiz career in the early years of her life. By the time she reached the age of sixteen, she had secured the leading roles in numerous shows on television. Her critically acclaimed performance in the film made for television Der Tunnel paved way for many other noteworthy roles, including Secretary to Adolf Hitler Traudl Junge, in the critically and commercially popular Oscar nominated historical war drama film Downfall. The Reader is another Oscar nominated film that features this stunning actress. Over the years Alexandra has worked in several important international and national productions. One of these is the British biographical movie Control, the Greek drama movie The Dust of Time, and French historical mini-series Napoleon. In addition, she is an official jury member for two festivals: the Transylvania International Film Festival and Cannes Film Festival.
