Maggie Grace is an American actress who was born Margaret Grace Denig in 1983. Her best-known roles include Shannon Rutherford, a character on ABC's Lost series as well as Kim Mills from the Taken trilogy. Born in Worthington Ohio, she dropped out of high school in order to relocate into Los Angeles with her mother when her parents separated. Gyllenhaal wrote and directed her first feature film, The Lost Daughter in 2021. The drama about psychological issues won the Best Screenplay Award from the Venice International Film Festival. The Lost Daughter was also nominated for be awarded the Academy Award of Best Adapted Screenplay.
